So how are things going???? Now that you've made it half way, what are some of your thoughts on using technology in early education? &/or what's the most important lesson/concept you've learned so far?
Things are going pretty well in class, however, I am quite overwhelmed every week with a lot of work to do. It's a beneficial class with TONS of new ideas being brought to me every period. I definitely have learned a lot regaurdng the use of computers and the internet and relating it to my future career as an educator. I love the websites that will be available to me as a teacher/ someone preparing multiple lesson plans and spending so much time preparing for the classroom. I've learned how to use a MAC, and honestl, that's an accomplisment in itself :) Imovie was really neat, I feel a lot more confident using the computer, as well as more advanced programs.

I think everyone feels overwhelmed lately in this class; however, I have learned a lot! I too have learned how to use a Mac. I did not realize before how different they are than PCs. I think imovie is very neat! Do you think as a future educator that you will use a Mac more or a PC?
I would have to agree with you and ashley s. and say that I too am a little overwhelmed by the class. I feel that sometimes we are expected to do things that we may not have any clue how to do. I am also curious to know how you feel about the whole Mac vs. PC issue. I personally still favor PC's and that is what we had in my schools growing up, but some people are different. How do you feel about the Macs?
I also feel very overwhelmed in this class, but I agree with what you were saying about learning many beneficial things. Although the iMovie was probably one of the worst experiences of my college career, I was very proud of the results and the fact I could accomplish it at all. I think many of the websites she provided to us will be very beneficial in the future. Do you have a favorite teaching website?
Sherry, I completely agree with you about feeling overwhelmed. I have never had so much work to do for one class in my life, but this is something the whole class will get through. I have also learned how to use mac computers since I have only worked on PC's before now. I'm actually starting to think that I like macs better, but I will see as the year progresses. I hope you start to become less stressed as the year goes on.
